Nick Hawk

Nick has been coming to Camp Wyoming ever since he was a little kid, and it’s his favorite part of every summer. That’s why joining the Camp Wyoming staff as a counselor seemed like the perfect next step for him. His favorite way to connect to God is through Bible study. He says, “I always feel closer to God when I’m teaching others about him.” That’s why Nick loves coming to help at Camp Wyoming and why he’s so looking forward to being on staff this summer.

Originally from Aldeo, IL, Nick attends Southeast Community College for Family Counseling. He’s a very laid back guy, and he loves to laugh and have a good time. If you eat breakfast with Nick, you’ll have to pay attend to an interesting and rather weird quirk that he has: he puts the milk in his bowl before he adds the cereal! He loves to be around people, but he also has a cat who he brought to college with him named Nala that he loves very much. Nick knows how to have fun and be funny. Some of his favorite things include running (which he is good at) and bowling (which he is not very good at).

For Nick, the perfect way to start any day is by getting up early and going for a pleasant jog. He’s definitely looking forward to the fresh air and the beautiful atmosphere at camp. He’s so excited for this summer and says, “I can’t wait to meet lots of new people and definitely eat some Oreo fluff.”

Nick’s favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
