Everyone who knows Starr knows that she is so positive, upbeat, and welcoming. She has so much fun with whatever she is doing and is always a friendly and encouraging person to be around. Starr is from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and is a senior at New London Community High School. She describes herself as “always talking and super clumsy.” Even though she didn’t grow up going to camp as a kid, Starr has loved coming to Camp Wyoming for the past two summers as a volunteer. Campers and staff alike were thrilled with her generosity, laughter, and spunk. We are so excited that she has chosen to join us for the entire summer as a member of our staff this year.
In her free time, Starr likes to paint, read, and do nature photography. Her favorite way to connect to God is by walking and singing, which obviously is a really great fit for Camp Wyoming. She’s excited to be at camp this summer and to see all the kids and the staff. She says, “I’m most looking forward to coming back to a place which holds so many memories while getting closer to Jesus.”
Starr has a big heart and a great love for Camp Wyoming. She says, “I’m so excited to help the kids have an amazing summer!”
Starr’s favorite Bible verse is Matthew 17:20: “He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'”
