Angela Husar

Angela is the Kitchen Manager at Camp Wyoming. She first joined our staff as a cook before taking over as the Kitchen Manager in the fall of 2023. She and her husband, Jeff, live in Maquoketa, Iowa. They have eight kids, four of whom are still at home. Jeff is an OTR truck driver and Angela runs a family business making soy candles and artisan soaps. Completing their household is their Goldendoodle, Hank, their Frenchie, Piper, and their cat, Mr. Leo. Angela says, “Our home is chaotic but full of love.”

Working at Camp Wyoming is meaningful for Angela. She says, “I feel Camp Wyoming is a wonderful place for children and adults to have meaningful life experiences while exploring their Christian faith. My favorite part of working at Camp Wyoming has been building relationships with the people I work with and the campers I have met along the way.”

Obviously, Angela stays pretty busy between camp and her own business, but when she has free time, she and her family like to create new projects, be outdoors, cook meals together, or just relax at home. One of the best parts of camp is the conversations and relationships built around the table at meal times. Angela approaches her job here with the same love and hospitality that you’d find at her own family’s table, and we think that’s pretty special.

Angela’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:5: “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
