Coleton Franzen

Coleton is from Galesville, Wisconsin. He enjoys playing video games, and he also really loves music. He sang in an a cappella group and played in band in high school. He plays a lot of instruments including the saxophone, trombone, and tuba. Right now, Coleton has been working full time and looking forward to spending his summer at camp.

Camp Wyoming was a big part of Coleton’s life growing up. His favorite camp was Night Owls, which he attended three times. One of his favorite memories of camp was actually being at Night Owls camp during a week where there were a lot of storms. His group got to spend a lot of time together just hanging out and doing puzzles, which Coleton really enjoyed. He is kind of a puzzle master, and can solve a Rubik’s cube in under one minute! Do you think you can beat him? Bring your Rubik’s cube to camp and challenge Coleton to a race. Another favorite camp activity of Coleton’s is Paint Wars, which he is looking forward to participating in again this summer. This will be his third summer on summer staff, and his first summer as a leadership staff member. When talking about his camp experiences, Coleton said, “Camp Wyoming was one of my favorite experiences growing up. It was a great experience because of the counselors that I had. I always had the best counselors. I want to be able to give those same experiences to other kids who come to camp.”

Coleton connects best to God through Bible study and prayer. He has also recently gotten into a podcast called “Bible in a Year.” He says, “I enjoy setting aside time where connecting with God is my main focus.” He was actively involved in his church growing up, including being a church youth elder and teaching Sunday school.

Coleton’s favorite Bible verse is Job 1:21: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
