Elsa Page

Elsa is an Elementary Education major studying at Iowa State. She grew up in Vinton, Iowa. When she’s not studying or working hard, Elsa loves just spending time with her family and friends. She has a large extended family, and they are very close, so they try to spend as much time together as possible. Elsa is also a big fan of the outdoors. When the weather is nice, you’ll find her going on long walks or hikes. On rainy days, she’s more than content to stay inside and bake, read, or journal.

This will be Elsa’s first summer on staff here at Camp Wyoming, but she did come for a few summers when shew as a kid. She says, “I was always super happy to make new friends and spend time with them doing all the fun camp activities. I also thought the camp experience was so encouraging to me in my walk with Christ and I’m so excited to be back in that environment.” This summer, she’s looking forward to building new connections and meeting all kinds of new people.

Elsa’s favorite way to connect with God is by singing. She says, “I think it’s such an amazing way to express strong emotions and ideas that are difficult to communicate in other ways.” In addition to singing, Elsa also loves to dance, and she’s been a dancer for 15 years! Maybe you can get her to show off some of her dance moves when you meet her at camp! Elsa and her family also love rescue animals. At one point, they had seven dogs in their house!

Elsa’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
