Hailey Wilson
Hailey loves reading books and listening to music. Her favorite era of music is actually the 70s and 80s. You’ll have to ask her what her favorite bands and songs are! Of course, she also likes to spend time with her friends and family, and she especially enjoys being able to get outside with them during the warmer seasons. Hailey is also a bit of a sporty person! She played soccer for four years, softball for two, and volleyball for one.
Hailey grew up in Monticello, Iowa. She is currently an Elementary Education major at the University of Northern Iowa. She spent a few summers at camp as a kid and loved it. Hailey says, “While we were there we would go swimming, hiking, do archery, and one night we spent the night in teepees.” Those fun memories are what inspired her to apply here at Camp Wyoming, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll do as a counselor!
For Hailey, she connects best with God by going on walks alone. We suspect that the Labyrinth might become her favorite place at camp. This summer, she says she’s really looking forward to “being outside and creating new memories with everyone that I meet.”
Hailey’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
