Hanna Langley

Hanna is joining us this year for her second summer on staff, but this will be her thirteenth summer at Camp Wyoming. For Hanna, Camp Wyoming has always been a part of her family. Her mom worked on summer staff and was the Program Director here when she was a baby. Hanna and her siblings grew up coming to camp every summer, and this year, she’s back on staff with older brother Isaac! Hanna says, “As soon as I was old enough, I started going to camp by myself. It’s pretty safe to say that camp is one of my favorite places!”

Hanna lives in Cedar Rapids and is a freshman at Warburg College where she studies Music Therapy. Of course, one of her favorite ways to connect with God is through music. You’ll see her at camp playing the guitar during worship, and Hanna also loves to sing. She is always cheerful, welcoming, and responsible. We know that she’s going to be a great counselor.

When she has free time, Hanna likes to play the guitar, read, sing, and paint. She has quite the creative side. Much of her time is taken up this year by theater and musical pursuits. However, Hanna also loves the outdoors. She says, “I really like bugs and mud.” That probably means she loves creek stomping and frog catching at camp! This summer, Hanna is looking forward to building awesome relationships in the place that she loves. She says, “I love working with kids, and I will do everything in my power to make sure your kids stay safe and have a great time!”

Hanna’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
