Kirsten Franklin

Kirsten is from Muscoda, Wisconsin and attends Southwest Wisconsin Technical College where she is majoring in Liberal Arts. Last year, she worked as a para educator for her local school district. In her free time, Kirsten likes to hangout with friends, read, swim, and go fishing. She has two dogs with whom she also enjoys going on walks and playing. You’ll have to ask her their names when you meet her.

Camp Wyoming has always been a big part of Kirsten’s life. She says, “I grew up going to Camp Wyoming. I started at seven years old! I always had the best counselors and I met some of my best friends at Camp Wyoming. I still am in contact with almost all of my friends from Camp! I always liked swimming and worship. These were the times I had the most fun and felt like I was growing my relationship with God!” Kirsten comes to camp this year for her fourteenth summer. We’re excited to have her back for her second year as a counselor.

This summer, Kirsten says, “I am looking forward to meeting new people and reconnecting with my friends from Camp Wyoming!” She connects best to God by leading Bible studies and singing. Kirsten affirms that growing up at camp has taught her a lot. She thinks that her experience working as a para educator this past year will definitely help make her a better counselor, and she can’t wait for all the new experiences this summer has in store.

Kirsten’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 1:15: “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all that you do.”
