Liv Nedd

Liv grew up in Long Island, New York, but she became an “Iowan” for college. She’s a student at the University of Northern Iowa where she is majoring in both History and Interactive Digital Media Studies. Until last year, she had never even been on a plane, and then she decided to leave home and venture to the midwest, so this past year has included a lot of firsts for her! Another first: joining the camp staff at Camp Wyoming!

Even though this is her first summer at Camp Wyoming, Liv did go to day camp when she was a kid. Looking back at that experience, she says, “I really enjoyed meeting people from all over the place who had different experiences than I had.” In her free time, Liv likes to read, spend time with friends, talk with her family, and participate in campus ministry activities at UNI.

For Liv, prayer and reading her Bible are her favorite ways to connect with God. This summer, she says she is looking forward to “being with other Christians and growing in my faith, while encouraging campers on their faith journeys.” She can’t wait to be at camp and dive into life and ministry here. Liv found her faith through campus ministry, and she is excited to live it out in a new way this summer. She says, “This is my first year as a committed follower of Christ. I am so excited to continue to learn and grow alongside the campers and the rest of the staff this summer, and to continue to see the work that God is doing in my life!”

Liv’s favorite Bible verse is Luke 12:4: “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.” She likes this verse because it brings her comfort and makes her feel physically secure.
