Nathan Hopkins

Nathan is a very creative individual. He joins us this summer as the Media Intern, and he’s a student at Dordt College where he studies Digital Media. Obviously, he has a love for photography and video, but Nathan also enjoys theater. In the last ten years, he’s been in twenty-eight different theater productions! You’ll have to ask him which role was his favorite. He also plays the guitar.

Originally from Clinton, Iowa, this will be Nathan’s first summer at Camp Wyoming. He did attend a few different Christian camps as a kid and led some outdoor retreats when he was in high school. Nathan says, “My previous camp experiences have been full of team bonding exercises, trying new things, and stepping out of my comfort zone.” He’s looking forward to being in a camp setting again this summer, getting outdoors, and enjoying all of the fun activities.

In his free time, Nathan likes to play the guitar, read, play video games, take naps, and go to the gym. His favorite way to connect with God is being outdoors and making music with other people. We can’t wait for Nathan to share his talents with us during worship. Nathan says, “Although this is mostly a new experience for me, I am looking forward to being a part of the Camp Wyoming crew!”

Nathan’s favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
