Saul Vivanco Escamilla
In his free time, Saul likes to stay busy and active. He enjoys going outside, exercising, and playing sports. When he’s inside, he likes to exercise his brain with board games. Listening to music is another favorite pastime. Saul lives in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico with his family. He has a younger brother who he is really close to. Saul describes him as his lifelong best friend. Currently, Saul is a student at the Universidad Politectinca de Pachuca where he studies Financial Engineering.
Saul and his younger brother attended camps together as a kid. Each summer, their parents prioritized camps for them. Saul got to attend a lot of different places, but he said many of them had a few things in common. Namely, camp was where he could try and learn new things, have a positive experience, be in a healthy environment, and meet people who changed his life for the better.
This will be Saul’s first summer at Camp Wyoming. He says, “Without a doubt, I expect an unforgettable experience. I hope to meet wonderful people and grow in different areas such as spiritually, culturally, and mentally, among others.” Saul connects best to God through singing and prayers and can’t wait to be part of the spiritual community here at Camp Wyoming. He is a very outgoing and cheerful person, and Saul laughingly says that he likes to talk a lot. He loves learning from others and can’t wait to be part of Camp Wyoming this summer.
Saul’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” He also shares the verse in Spanish, his first language: “No temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no te angusties, porque yo soy tu Dios. Te fortaleceré y te ayudaré; te sostendré con mi diestra victoriosa.” Isaías 41:10
