
Day 5 at Camp
Today was our last full day at camp. But that didn’t stop us from making the most of it! Here is what we were up to today:
Explorer Swim/Pirates:
The “Exploders” started their day with Bible study and snack. Then they had arts & crafts where they made treasure boxes, eye patches, and got pirate tattoos! After that they went kayaking, had lunch, went swimming, went creek stomping, and had a Unit Wide activity with Discovery Camp.
Discovery:
The “Discos” raced cardboard boats in the pool this morning, had Bible study, and played games. In the afternoon, they did Slip ‘n slide and SuperSoakers, went swimming, played sports, and did a unit wide activity with the Explorers.
Pioneers:
The Lewis and Clark Pioneers played Tug of War with the Middlers and Water Adventures this morning and had Bible study. After lunch, they went creek stomping together, had a SuperSoaker battle, and went swimming.
Middlers:
The Middlers played Tug of War with the Pioneer and Water Adventures campers this morning. Then they went creek stomping. After lunch, they had Bible study, played kayak polo, and went swimming.
Water Adventures:
The Water Adventures campers played Tug of War with the Pioneers and Middlers and did another hour of challenge course in the morning. After that, they left for Central Park Lake to cookout lunch, go canoeing, swimming, and have Bible study.
Night Owls:
The Night Owls woke up today at 4pm! They went swimming, played games, and joined the rest of the camp for Christwalk. Tonight they will do Bible study at the labyrinth, cookout lunch and dinner in the middle of the night, play Live Mafia, and decorate Deer Center for the Night Owl themed breakfast tomorrow morning.
LITs:
The LITs returned from their canoe trip this morning and spent time unpacking and cleaning up their gear. After lunch, they had a session on camp organization and standards, did archery, practiced leading Bible study, and played kayak polo.
