Off to a Great Start
Today, we were blessed with beautiful weather to start off our last week of summer camp. It may be the last week, but we’re having just as much fun as when the summer started! Check out all the things we’ve been doing today!
The Explorers made stained glass windows in arts and crafts this morning and went to Horsethief Cave this afternoon. They even got to take a ride in the hayrack on their way to the cave.
The Pirates spent the morning decorating their cardboard boats. Later this week, they will get the chance to race the boats in the pool and in Bear Creek.
The Pioneers went kayaking this morning and participated in a huge game of Ultimate Capture the Flag with the Explorers, Pirates, and Middlers.
The Middlers went swimming and are doing the challenge course this afternoon.
The Thrill Seekers did the trust fall in the challenge course this morning and made woven crosses in arts and crafts.
The Night Owls cooked out breakfast this morning and took a tubing trip on the Maquoketa River this afternoon.
The Seniors went caving at the Maquoketa Caves cooked out for lunch.
For evening program tonight, everyone is going to play a giant game of “Clue”, based on the board game, but with a camp twist. And during worship, we will be going on a meditative walk with Jesus as we learn about how Jesus is God With Us.
