Happy Thursday
Well, today was another exciting day at camp. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine, and right now, groups are getting ready for our evening program: Water Relays with SuperSoakers, slip ‘n slide, frozen clothes relay, and more! Here’s what we did today:
Explorer Swim
It was a day of water for this group. They started their day on the slip ‘n slide, had swimming lessons, and went swimming! They also did tie dye in arts & crafts.
Discovery
This group did nature activities and had a SuperSoaker battle in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, it was off to creek stomping, Bible study, and soccer.
Pioneer
This group did Bible study and walked the labyrinth. They cooked out for lunch, and then did arts & crafts, swimming, and games in the afternoon.
Middlers
This group was hard at work today preparing for cardboard boat races in the creek! They split into groups, and each group designed their own boat using cardboard, duct tape, bubble wrap, and balloons. Then, they took their boats down to the creek. Each boat successfully held a person and stayed afloat!
Night Owls
The Night Owls woke up at 2pm today in Horsethief Cave. Some of them said it was the best sleep of their life! They made an ice cream snack and did archery. Tonight, after everyone is in bed, they are going to go creek stomping and try out a new game at Frog Pond called Kayak Polo.
Thrill Seekers
The Thrill Seekers left on their overnight hiking trip this morning. We won’t see them again until Friday morning!
