
Magnificent Monday
Check-In Day!
A new camp week has begun! Yesterday we welcomed 8 new groups of campers onto our site. Starting off our week with color wars, every camper is split into 4 groups and will be competing in daily games throughout the week.
Here is a look at each team’s activities today.
Explorers
Explorers had a full day of camp today as they will be leaving tomorrow afternoon. They started their day by paddling Corcls across Frog Pond which was followed immediately by creek stomping. They had some time to rest after getting wet and muddy, but the afternoon included arts and crafts, slip n’ slides, slingshots, and swimming.
Discovery
Discovery had a relaxing morning with time to explore nature and have a Bible study. In the afternoon, they played human football, paddled Corcls across Frog Pond, and went swimming.
Lewis Pioneers
Lewis Pioneers got muddy this morning after going creek stomping. After they cleaned off, their teamwork was tested in the challenge course in which they had to work together to overcome obstacles. They had time in the afternoon for Bible study and swimming.
Clark Pioneers
Clark Pioneers build rockets out of 2 liter bottles which they launched over PJ Meadow using an air compressor. This was followed by racing in pedal karts, arts and crafts, swimming, and playing human foosball.\
Music, Art, and Drama
Our MAD campers participated in arts and crafts and Bible study this morning. They then wrote an original song for them to perform at tonight’s worship time. In the afternoon, they also went swimming and practiced archery.
Middlers
The Middlers played games with CIT and Thrill Seekers involving our giant “earth ball.” The rest of the day included archery, swimming, Bible study, and an outdoor cookout.
Thrill Seekers
After playing “earth ball” with the Middlers and CIT camps, the Thrill Seekers made it through our challenge course by working together as a team. In the afternoon, they went swimming and played kayak polo on Frog Pond with CIT.
CIT
Our CIT campers played “earth ball” with Middlers and Thrill Seekers this morning. They also learned some essential skills such as fire building and went over some of our emergency procedures. In the afternoon, they went swimming and played kayak polo on Frog Pond with Thrill Seekers.
