A Pirate's Life for Me
Today, we had a new group of Explorer Pirates join us! This means more treasure hunts, adventure, and pirate talk for these two groups! It’s so much fun seeing the imagination and creativity of each of the kids. Here’s what we were doing at camp today:
Explorer Pirates
This group played name games and did archery this morning after they arrived. In the afternoon, they went swimming, did arts & crafts, had snack, and did Bible study. Welcome Explorer Pirates!
Pirates
This morning, the Pirates were busy constructing cardboard boats. Tomorrow, they’ll take them down to the creek and see how well they float! They also went creek stomping, swimming, did the challenge course, and had Bible study.
Pioneers
This morning, all of the Pioneers went together on a hike to Horsethief Cave to do Bible study. Since today’s Bible study was about needs (God needs our needs, and therefore, we can go out and meet the needs of others), they put what they were learning into practice on the hike. The Clark Pioneers helped the Lewis group down the steep hill from the cave. Then the Lewis Pioneers carried all of the Clark Pioneers’ things back to camp.
Night Owls
The Night Owls didn’t wake up today until noon! They did arts & crafts, went kayaking, and did archery. Tonight, they are taking a trip to the lookout tower at Eden Valley. After everyone is asleep, they are going to play Ultimate GaGa and Ultimate Spoons, hike to Horsethief Cave for Bible study in the middle of the night, and do fire spinning.
Thrill Seekers
The Thrill Seekers took a tubing trip down the river this morning. It was very refreshing and relaxing. This afternoon, they did the challenge course, had canoe training, and did Bible study. Tonight, they’ll join the Night Owls for Ultimate GaGa.
