Giving Tuesday 2023: Cabin Updates

We are excited to share our plans to update our cabins in 2023! We are seeking donations towards this project starting on November 28th, Giving Tuesday, and running until December 31, 2022. The cabin is an integral part of the camp experience. It is a child’s home for a week during the summer. We want that experience to be comfortable. Comfort helps a child feel good about being in a new environment. When they start from a place of comfort, they are more willing to explore the natural world around them. When a child is comfortable, they are able to open themselves up to their new group of friends and have faith-forming conversations.

Our plan for updating the cabins includes installing and painting new siding, adding privacy film to the windows, building two changing areas in each cabin, painting the bunk beds, installing new flooring, and adding new outlets to the cabins. Our Maintenance Director, Pat Hanrahan, was previously a contractor and will be doing the work. We are seeking donations to pay for the supplies.

You can make a general donation to this cabin update appeal or you can direct your funds to a specific part of the updates. Consider the following options:

Where can I direct my gift?

  • Cabin Updates – Your gift will help support updating our cabins which will include replacing the siding, installing privacy film on the windows, adding changing areas, painting the bunk beds and cabin, installing new flooring, and adding outlets. This will enhance the camp experience.
  • General Fund – Your gift will provide support to our program, staff training & development, facility upkeep, and insurance.
  • Scholarship Fund – Camp Wyoming has a scholarship fund that will support a family wishing to send their child or children to camp.  Your gift will help us serve more families in need.
  • Friend’s Club –Camp Wyoming has an opportunity for individuals, couples, families, and organizations to support the camp through an annual giving club. This club allows us to improve and expand the Camp Wyoming program and facilities.
