Resources
The ministry of Camp Wyoming could not exist without the support of many different organizations and associations. We strive to be the best camp that we can be, and invite you to explore some of the camp resources we utilize to ensure that we are always maximizing our potential.
Camp Wyoming is a mission of the Presbytery of East Iowa. Visit their website to learn more about the Presbytery’s mission, church directory, and upcoming events. Further, the Presbytery of East Iowa is part of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, which covers a wide area of the upper Midwest. Within the synod’s boundaries are 16 presbyteries, nearly 900 churches and about 150,000 members engaged in worship and mission. The presbyteries and their churches reflect diversity in ethnicity, size and membership. Additionally, five Presbyterian camps, seven affiliated colleges, a Presbyterian seminary, seven Presbyterian Homes and a family services organization support the church’s mission across all ages, ethnicities and life stages.
Camp Wyoming is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association. Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this nationally recognized program focuses on health and safety regulations and requires us to review every facet of our operation. Camp Wyoming has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal performed by camp experts and has earned this mark of distinction.
Camp Wyoming is a member of the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA). Since 1964, staff and volunteers from Presbyterian camps and conference centers across the United States and Canada have gathered together as a part of the PCCCA for fellowship, education, and the mutual support of their ministries. The mission of PCCCA is to equip leaders for ministries of discipleship, community building, and the care of creation.
