Stacie Hoppman

Stacie is the Camp Director at Camp Wyoming.  She grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated with degrees in Electronic Media Communications as well as Biblical and Theological Studies.  During the summers while in college, she worked at Camp Wyoming as a Counselor, Program Assistant, and Marketing Intern.  In January 2013, she joined the camp staff full-time.

Stacie lives in Marion, Iowa and enjoys writing, playing the piano, reading, watching movies, spending time with friends, and being outdoors (although not during the winter). Every summer, she tries to complete at least one triathlon, which means that you’ll often find her swimming, biking, and running on a regular basis.  Stacie loves canoeing and camping and has taken several trips to the Boundary Waters with her younger brother Simon.  She likes being challenged and participating in high adventure trips, so she jumps at any chance she gets to rock climb, zip line, go white water rafting, or sky diving. Stacie loves the show The Office and frequently finds ways to reference it during any conversation. She’s also a huge fan of Chinese food and almost anything that involves chocolate in any form.

The part of her job that she enjoys the most is video production, specifically editing. She also enjoys graphic design and creating new designs and materials for the camp.  She is excited to be using social media, web and graphic design, and video production to enhance the camp program and to share the ministry of Camp Wyoming with others.  You’ll often see her wandering around taking pictures and video of all the activities and events happening at camp.

Stacie’s favorite Bible verse is Ecclesiastes 3:1: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
